BOSS TV: Episode 23 - Blackberry Picking

At Buckswood Overseas Summer School (BOSS) we want our students to spend as much time outdoors as possible. Especially this year. Mother nature has a way of helping us all to feel better. Be it feeling more relaxed, boosting our energy levels, reducing stress, feeling calmer, lifting our spirits or one of the other many benefits that nature has on us, we want everyone at BOSS to experience and benefit from it.

Buckswood is surrounded by blackberries so one day we decided to try blackberry picking as a nature activity and to be honest, we never thought it would be so popular and were surprised at how much our students enjoyed it. We guess that is the power of nature!

We collected 23kg of blackberries during this haul which we used to make jam that our students took home to their family and friends and any jam that was left over was sold to raise money for charity.
